SAIL-SCL Kerala Limited (SSKL) is a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with equal shareholding between the Government of Kerala (GoK) and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). The Factory, Registered Office and the Sales Depot of the Company are situated within Kozhikode Corporation, hardly 6 KM from the City Centre on the Kozhikode-Feroke Stretch of NH 66. The Company relishes an accomplished reputation of half-a-century in the manufacture and marketing of quality construction steel products in Kerala.

SSKL has a 50000 tpa Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and a 65000 tpa TMT Rolling Mill. The SMS is equipped with three numbers of 10/12 MT Electric Arc Furnaces and Twin-Strand Continuous Casting Machine capable of producing 100 x100 mm Steel Billets conforming to IS:2830:2012. Besides Mild Steel, SSKL can produce En-8, En-9, En-44 and En-45 Grade Medium and High Carbon Steels against firm orders. In 2010, the Company entered into a Joint Venture Collaboration with SAIL, a Maharatna Central PSU, labeled/considered the Steel Makers to the Nation. Following the JV, SSKL set up a Fully Automatic Latest Technology TMT Bar Rolling Mill to manufacture High-strength 500D/500S Grade TMT Construction Steel Re-bars of sizes ranging from 8 mm to 25 mm conforming to IS: 1786:2008.
